On other fronts, Jeff was laid-off again. I am not going to say that we are taking it in stride, but the blow is less of a blow after the year that we have had. Someone in my Mom’s Group said bad things happen in threes; if that is true we should be primed for good things now. But I also read an article recently that argued that people that believe in bad luck have a lot more of it. So I chose not to believe in bad luck. I do believe in coincidence though and this year has had a cluster of things we would have taken a pass on. All we can do is try to learn something for all of this. Our friend Greg always says: if money can fix it, it’s not a problem. I guess we will learn to practice that theory. We continue to try to be positive and hopeful. Jeff is a brilliant man and a very hard worker, and something much better will come his way. I am sure of it.
One last thing, the CureSearch walk (fundraiser for childhood cancer research) is happening in Salt Lake City on October 5th, and Team Nico plans to make an appearance. CureSearch is one of the largest contributors to the clinical trials that have so greatly benefitted Nico. If you can walk, we would love to have you on our team. If you can give, we would love that too. There is a tab on our WarriorNico.com page that includes a link to our CureSearch site.
Thank you for all the love, support and concern.
