I keep trying to get a current picture of Nico, but he refuses to stay still. He is still super cute even without eyebrows or eyelashes. He still has a tiny bit of blond hair on his head, but with that hairline he just looks like he takes after my side of the family.
For the first time ever, Nico made counts on the first try. After watching his recovery after the last dose of Methotrexate, both Jeff and I are convinced Nico had a stomach virus the first time. That being said, I am not sure what his oncologist will suggest regarding his dose this round. In theory, if the problems that he had making counts the first time was from a virus, he could try a 100% dose again. But they require his absolute neutrophil count be 750 to continue and he was 800 this time. Right on the border, so it is possible we will stay at 75%. This whole thing is a big balancing act. Tomorrow Nico will have another lumbar puncture and then we will be admitted for the 3rd of 4 high dose Methotrexate administrations. We might be in-patient a little longer than last time because the lumbar punctures eat up a good part of the day. We know the routine at least and that helps.
